Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of FinBeaver ("the App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. The App is also subject to Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA); where these Terms and Apple's standard EULA conflict, Apple's standard EULA governs for App Store distribution.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

2. Not financial advice

FinBeaver is an informational tool for organizing and visualizing your personal finances. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Insights, budgets, projections, and reports are for informational purposes only. You are responsible for your financial decisions and should consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

3. Subscriptions

FinBeaver offers auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock its features. The following terms apply:

• Plans: monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions. The price and billing period are shown in the App at the time of purchase.
• Payment: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: your subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Renewal charge: your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price of your selected plan.
• Managing your subscription: you can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase.
• Free trial: new users receive a 14-day free trial with full access. No payment is taken for the trial. After the trial ends, a subscription is required to continue using the App.

4. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that calculations and imported data will be complete or accurate.

5. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or financial loss, arising out of your use of the App.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data (for example, via iCloud or Time Machine) and for the accuracy of information you enter or import.

7. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time and manage subscriptions through your Apple Account.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
